    1. Before you use new NP-F970 SONY battery for the first time you must charge it full. Please note that for new rechargeable SONY camcorder batteries, it is necessary to cycle them at least three times or more before they reach peak performance and capacity. Using NP-F970 SONY batteries for the first several times, you may find that they run down (discharge) quickly during using. Don't worry, this is normal until the batteries actually form up.
