When Lenovo<\/a> introduced the Legion Go 2 at CES 2025, it confirmed that the detachable Truestrike controllers would also be compatible with the original Legion Go. Several months after the device\u2019s launch, Lenovo began offering the controllers for separate purchase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The controllers have been available directly through Lenovo for a few months, although they are currently out of stock. The Legion Go 2 Right Controller is priced at $79.99, while the Left Controller costs $59.99. The higher price for the right controller reflects its additional functionality, including its ability to operate as a vertical mouse for FPS gameplay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Compared with the original Legion Go controllers, the Legion Go 2 versions feature improved ergonomics. They also include USB-C charging ports, removing the need to dock them to the handheld console for charging through pogo pins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new models use a revised button layout. The View button, previously positioned below the Menu button, has been moved to the top near the Legion Space button. The Menu button now resides on the right controller beneath the Quick Settings button, replacing its former placement on the left controller. The Desktop and Page buttons now occupy the former Menu and View positions. Other changes include the introduction of a redesigned Pivot D-pad and segmented RGB lighting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Lenovo\u2019s specifications, each controller includes Hall Effect joysticks and triggers, a 650 mAh battery, a linear motor with updated vibration behavior, and a revised grip design.
