Battery life has rarely been a defining strength of foldable smartphones—but that may be starting to change. A recent comparison test offers a clearer look at how things are evolving.

The test, conducted by PhoneBuff, evaluated the Oppo Find N6, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, and Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold under a standard mixed-usage routine. This included gaming, social media browsing, web browsing, and video playback—effectively simulating a full day of typical use.
The results were surprisingly competitive. The Find N6 took the lead with an impressive 27 hours and 46 minutes of battery life. Close behind was the Pixel 10 Pro Fold at 26 hours and 40 minutes, while the Galaxy Z Fold 7 finished at 25 hours and 52 minutes.
Much of this performance likely comes down to battery technology and capacity. Oppo equipped the Find N6 with a 6000mAh silicon-carbon battery, allowing for higher energy density within the same physical space. In comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 features a 4400mAh battery, while the Pixel 10 Pro Fold uses a 5015mAh unit. Interestingly, despite its relatively larger battery, the Pixel does not significantly outperform its rivals.
Additional details further highlight the Find N6’s advantage. Even after reaching 0%, it can last an extra 18 minutes in low-power mode—an edge-case feature, but potentially useful in urgent situations. Charging speed is another strong point: with 80W wired charging, it reaches around 55% in just 30 minutes, clearly outpacing the other two devices.
Of course, this is only one comparison and not a definitive verdict. Still, it points to a broader trend—especially as more manufacturers begin adopting silicon-carbon battery technology in foldable phones.
