Vivo has started teasing the India launch of the Vivo X Fold 5, following its recent unveiling in China. The exact launch date is expected to be announced soon. A Flipkart banner confirms the foldable smartphone will be available through the platform in India.
The Indian variant is expected to mirror the Chinese version’s specifications. The Vivo X Fold 5 features an 8.03-inch flexible inner display and a 6.53-inch cover display, both utilizing 8T LTPO technology. The device measures 9.2mm in thickness when folded and 4.3mm when unfolded, and weighs 217g.

The foldable phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. It houses a 6,000mAh battery with 80W wired and 40W wireless fast charging. The device carries IP5X dust resistance and IPX8+IPX9 water resistance ratings and is designed to withstand temperatures as low as –20°C. Its Carbon Fibre Support Hinge is tested for up to 600,000 folds.
The rear camera system is developed in partnership with Zeiss and includes a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 50MP telephoto sensor. The phone supports AI Image Studio features and offers a Shortcut Button for quick access to sound modes, the torch, camera, notes, recording, and more.
The front-facing cameras include 20MP sensors on both the inner and outer screens.
Vivo has also teased the upcoming India launch of the X200 FE handset, though details on its availability are yet to be confirmed.
