Today, Apple released iOS 26.3 and iPadOS 26.3, delivering dozens of security fixes—including one vulnerability that was actively exploited. That alone makes the update worth installing immediately.
The update also introduces a built-in tool that makes switching from iOS to Android far easier. It allows users to transfer photos, messages, notes, apps, passwords, phone numbers, and more without relying on third-party software.

The EU has long pushed Apple and Google to support seamless cross-platform migration, and this feature is a direct result of those efforts. Both companies have opted to roll it out globally rather than restrict it to the EU.
iOS 26.3 additionally adds a setting to limit carrier-based location tracking for devices using Apple’s C1 or C1X modems. However, the feature is currently supported by only a few carriers worldwide, including Boost Mobile in the US, EE and BT in the UK, and Telekom in Germany.
