Shark PowerDetect UV Reveal 2-in-1 Now Available

Posted on March 6, 2026

Shark has introduced the PowerDetect UV Reveal, a new 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop (model RV3020XE). The device is now available on the company’s official website with a retail price of $1,299.99.

The PowerDetect UV Reveal uses Neuronav AI technology along with multiple sensors—including a camera, lidar, and RGB sensors—to automatically map the home. A built-in UV light helps evaluate cleaning effectiveness on hard floors and can assist in identifying stubborn stains such as pet urine. However, Shark has not specified whether the robot can detect and avoid solid waste. For mopping, the device uses ultrasonic cleaning technology, which Shark says provides stronger cleaning performance than its previous robot models.

According to the company, the docking station includes a thermal sanitization system that disinfects the mop pad when the robot returns to the base. This process is designed to eliminate 99.99% of bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus and E. coli.

The mop pad can extend outward to reach edges along walls. During vacuuming, the robot first blows debris away from edges with airflow before suctioning it up. Its wheels can slightly lift the body to pass over thresholds, although—unlike some competing models—the robot cannot climb stairs.

The PowerDetect UV Reveal connects via Wi-Fi and integrates with smart home systems that support Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, allowing voice control. Through the companion smartphone app, users can schedule cleaning sessions, define no-go zones, and adjust various settings.

Despite its automation features, the robot still requires periodic maintenance. The dirty water tank should be emptied and cleaned roughly every 30 days or whenever it becomes full, depending on how often mopping is used. In addition, the clean water tank must be refilled, the dustbin emptied, and both the motor filters and deodorizing filter should be cleaned or replaced regularly to maintain optimal performance.
