Casio has officially announced the G-Shock Nano DWN-5600 series, a new line of miniature, ring-sized watches modeled after the iconic DW-5600. The series debuts in black (DWN-5600-1JR), red (DWN-5600-4JR), and yellow (DWN-5600-9JR), launching first in Japan for 14,300 yen (approximately $95)—slightly higher than earlier leaks had suggested.
At roughly one-tenth the size of a standard G-Shock, the Nano may look like a novelty at first glance, but it retains much of the functionality the brand is known for. It features a digital LCD display and includes familiar G-Shock functions such as dual time, stopwatch, auto calendar, and a flashing light alarm. Three side buttons allow users to toggle between modes or activate the LED backlight, though the compact screen can only show a limited number of functions at a time.
Casio describes the Nano as its smallest shock-resistant G-Shock ever, achieved through high-density component mounting and a miniaturized battery system. Despite its size, the Nano remains water-resistant to 200 meters and shock-resistant, in keeping with the brand’s standards. The user-replaceable battery offers an estimated two-year lifespan.

The bezel and band are made from recycled resin, reflecting Casio’s broader sustainability initiatives. The adjustable ring fits sizes from 48 mm to 82 mm, using traditional band holes. The Nano itself measures 23.4 × 20 × 7.5 mm and ships in a collector’s presentation box with a dedicated silicone display stand.
The Casio G-Shock Nano DWN-5600 series will go on sale in Japan in November, with international availability—including in the US and UK—expected to follow in the coming weeks.
